The Earth is heating up. We need to act before it's too late.

Here's what happens if global warming reaches:
Italy, Spain, and Greece became deserts. Methane started to release from the ocean floor and the melted permafrost in Siberia and the Arctic, and led to runaway climate change. The 6th mass extinction began, and the story of humankind came to a close.
Greenland's ice begun disintegrating, which made sea levels rise and flood Amsterdam. 30% of all species found themselves at the verge of extinction. Our crops begun yielding less and we eventually came across a global food shortage which took the lives of hundreds of millions of people.
Coral stopped growing, but at least it didn't completely die off. We managed to stop ourselves before reaching all the tipping points, and even though we struggled to deal with the severe consequences of climate change, we found a way to adapt and not go extinct, preserving most of our home planet and its natural ecosystems.

Reducing, reusing, and recycling alone won't get us to 1.5ºC. We need to remove carbon.

Removing carbon is key to reversing climate change. Our "carbon budget"—the amount of carbon we can "safely" release before 2050 and still have an 80% chance of staying below 2ºC—is about 335 gigatons of CO₂e.
Every year we emit about 51 GtCO₂e emissions, which means we've got about 6.5 years of runway if we don't start removing massive quantities of carbon from the atmosphere ASAP. Here's what you can do about it:
STEP 1
Calculate your carbon footprint
Take our short carbon footprint calculator poll to get an estimate of the number of tons of CO₂ you emit into the atmosphere every year. It only takes 2 minutes.
OUR CALCULATOR
STEP 2
Understand how you can erase it
Thanks to carbon offsetting, you can reach net zero by funding initiatives that capture the CO₂ you emit yourself, like tree plantations.

STEP 3
Subscribe to a monthly carbon offset plan
Choose one of our monthly offset plans and start investing in technologies both ancient and new—from planting trees to turning the CO₂ found in waste biomass into bio-oil. We take no platform fee, so all the money you contribute goes directly to our partners on the ground.

STEP 4
Continue your journey towards carbon neutrality
Once you're all set, stay tuned for the project updates we'll send you at the end of each month. And keep in mind that offsetting alone is not enough—you'll need to keep working to bring your actual emissions down to zero!
